Nigerian actor Yemi Solade has revealed that organizers of an award ceremony withdrew his award after he refused to pay for the plaque.

Solade expressed disappointment and accused the organizers of extortion.

The actor shared a screenshot of his conversation with a representative of the organizers, who stated that the management was unwilling to present the award plaque due to Solade’s refusal to pay for it.

Solade emphasized that he does not belong to the class of award plaque buyers and condemned the organizers’ alleged extortion scheme.

The incident has sparked concerns about the authenticity and integrity of certain award ceremonies in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
