President Bola Tinubu has expressed confidence in Nigeria’s economic resurgence, assuring that the nation’s economy is set to rebound in the coming months.

This assurance was given during a gathering where state governors and the leadership of the National Assembly convened in Lagos on Friday.

Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, President Tinubu emphasised the need for unity and collaboration among the federal government, state governors, and members of the National Assembly to achieve national development goals.

Vice President Shettima, speaking on behalf of President Tinubu, highlighted the pivotal role Nigeria plays in the future of the black race.

He expressed optimism about the nation’s economic outlook and called for collective efforts to propel the country forward.

Acknowledging Tinubu’s leadership as transcending ethnic and religious boundaries, Shettima commended the diverse representation at the gathering, showcasing a united front under Tinubu’s leadership.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio commended the emulation of Tinubu’s leadership style by governors, emphasising their broad support for the president across political divides.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State praised Tinubu’s initiatives in stabilising the economy and improving living conditions. He highlighted positive developments such as the stabilisation of the exchange rate and decreasing food prices, attributing them to Tinubu’s efforts.

AbdulRazaq also expressed gratitude for the Federal Government’s support to states, particularly in distributing grains to alleviate food shortages, reaffirming the governors’ commitment to supporting Tinubu’s initiatives and driving progress across the nation.
