President Tinubu Extols Nigerian Women As Nation’s Backbone On International Women’s Day

In commemoration of this year’s International Women’s Day, President Bola Tinubu has lauded Nigerian women, hailing them as the cornerstone of the nation’s progress.

Recognising the pivotal role of women in nation-building, President Tinubu unequivocally asserts that Nigerian women are indispensable to the nation’s development, growth, and overall greatness.Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, conveyed the President’s message on thursday

Highlighting the remarkable achievements of Nigerian women across various fields, the President underscores their resilience, strength, courage, and ingenuity, which serve as a beacon of hope and possibility for women globally.

Aligning with the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, ‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress’, President Tinubu reaffirms his administration’s commitment to empowering women through education, inclusion in governance, and active participation in all sectors of the economy.





Emphasising the importance of investing in the education of the girl child, the President pledges to implement inclusive programmes that promote women’s roles in knowledge, science, technology, research, and innovation.

President Tinubu extends his heartfelt congratulations to Nigerian women on this significant occasion, assuring them of his administration’s unwavering dedication to their welfare, rights, and advancement.
