Chelsea secured a convincing 2-0 victory over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, moving closer to the Premier League top six by narrowing the gap to just three points.

Chelsea “The Blues” had a dominant display at Stamford Bridge against Spurs as they ran out comfortable winners after 90mins+ of football action.

Chelsea extended Tottenham’s poor record to only one league win in 34 visits.

Chelsea displayed confidence from the start, with early chances from Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk, although Guglielmo Vicario denied Jackson’s one-on-one opportunity.

The breakthrough came in the 24th minute when Trevoh Chalobah brilliantly headed Conor Gallagher’s free-kick into the far corner.

Despite Chelsea’s control, Tottenham missed a clear chance before halftime when Cristian Romero’s close-range header went wide. After the break, Tottenham showed renewed determination, with Richarlison and Pedro Porro testing Chelsea’s defense.

However, Chelsea sealed the win with Jackson’s header into the far corner after Cole Palmer’s free-kick hit the woodwork.

The victory not only boosted Chelsea’s hopes but also highlighted their impressive home form, with eight wins in their last 11 Premier League matches.

On the other hand, Tottenham faces a challenge to bounce back from their third consecutive league defeat when they face Liverpool on Sunday.
