Nigerian Entertainer Speed Darlington Declared Wanted By NAPTIP For Alleged Rape And Cyberbullying.

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has declared Nigerian entertainer Darlington Okoye, widely known as Speed Darlington, a wanted individual in connection with serious allegations of rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. The announcement, made public on Friday, has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and sparked widespread discussion across social media platforms.

NAPTIP, Nigeria’s leading agency tasked with combating human trafficking and related crimes, issued the statement as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged offences. The agency did not disclose specific details of the accusations but confirmed that Speed Darlington is now a person of interest and urged the public to provide any information that could assist in locating him.

Okoye, a controversial figure known for his outspoken persona and provocative online content, has yet to respond publicly to the allegations. His whereabouts remain unknown, and authorities are appealing for cooperation from the public to aid in their efforts.

A spokesperson for NAPTIP stated, “The agency is committed to upholding justice and protecting the rights of all individuals. We urge anyone with information regarding Darlington Okoye’s whereabouts to come forward and assist with this investigation.”

The declaration has prompted varied reactions, with some fans expressing disbelief while others have called for swift action to ensure justice is served. The case highlights growing concerns about cyberbullying and gender-based violence in Nigeria, issues that NAPTIP has increasingly prioritised in recent years.

Authorities have encouraged anyone with relevant information to contact NAPTIP or local law enforcement agencies. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates are expected as the situation develops.
