Nigerian comedian AY Makun has come under fire for his recent comments on the marital crisis between music legend 2Baba and his wife Annie Idibia.

AY Makun called for empathy and understanding, urging the public to focus on the reasons why marriages fail instead of casting blame.

However, his comments were met with criticism from many who felt he was being insensitive to the situation. Some accused him of being a hypocrite, while others felt he was trying to deflect attention from 2Baba’s alleged infidelity.

AY Makun’s comments sparked a heated debate on social media, with many weighing in on the couple’s marital issues. While some expressed support for AY Makun’s views, others felt he was misguided in his defense of 2Baba and Annie Idibia.

Y Mayor, a social media personality, added fuel to the fire with a cryptic comment: “Put it in the news report, ‘a vinegar who said plant it put it in the rose’.”
