Nigeria’s Minister of Sports, Senator John Owan Enoh, has expressed confidence in the country’s ability to successfully host the Commonwealth Games in 2030.

Nigeria’s Minister of Sports, Senator John Owan Enoh has stated that the country has all it takes to host a successful Commonwealth Games in 2030.

Speaking at a press conference after the All African Games, Senator Enoh emphasized the importance of Africa, particularly Nigeria, stepping up to host the Games, given the continent’s long-standing membership in the Commonwealth Games since 1930.

Senator Enoh acknowledged that although he would not be in office at the time of the Games, he is advocating for Nigeria to become the first African country to host this prestigious event.

He plans to submit a proposal to the Presidency to kickstart preparations for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, highlighting Nigeria’s existing infrastructure and the need for early preparations to ensure a successful hosting experience.
