Lekki Deep Seaport comes to life as has it welcome the arrival of Rimbaud, the first trans-shipment vessel to call at the container terminal.

The port management stated on Friday via Twitter: “CMA-CGM RIMBAUD vessel has sailed all the way from the Far East to Lekki Port. It has an LOA of 270m, a breadth of 42.8m and 6,900 TEUs capacity.

“The transhipment volume on the vessel is 411 TEUs and the eventual destination will be Cotonou on July 6th 2023.

“We are proud to actualize the objective of the Nigerian Ports Authority and the Federal Ministry of Transport to bring transhipment volumes to the country, and this is the first of many more to berth at Lekki Port.”
