Today marked a significant moment as the Founder and Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, alongside the Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria Holdings Plc, Mr. Femi Otedola, arrived at the Banquet Hall, Lagos House, Ikeja, to meet with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Their presence heralded the commencement of a noble initiative aimed at alleviating the plight of vulnerable communities in Lagos.

Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sanwo-Olu on New Media, took to his official platform to announce this  event.

In his statement, he highlighted that the Dangote Foundation, under the leadership of Alhaji Aliko Dangote, would be distributing eighty thousand 10 kg bags of rice across the state, as part of their philanthropic efforts.

The distribution, facilitated by the Aliko Dangote Foundation, seeks to provide essential sustenance to those most in need within Lagos.

With Governor Sanwo-Olu and prominent business leaders like Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Mr. Femi Otedola joining forces, it underscores a collaborative approach towards addressing societal challenges and fostering communal well-being.

This initiative not only demonstrates corporate social responsibility but also reflects a shared commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of Lagosians, particularly during these challenging times. As the rice distribution kicks off, it signifies a ray of hope for countless individuals and families grappling with food insecurity across the state.
