Former Leicester City Coach Craig Shakespeare Dies at 60.

Former Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare has passed away at the age of 60, his family confirmed on Thursday. According to a statement from the League Managers’ Association (LMA), Shakespeare died peacefully surrounded by family.

Craig Shakespeare, known for his significant contributions to English football, notably took over as Leicester City manager in 2017 following the departure of Claudio Ranieri. Under his leadership, Leicester City enjoyed a resurgence, securing important victories and stabilising their position in the Premier League.

The LMA’s statement expressed deep condolences to Shakespeare’s family and highlighted his impact on the football community. “Craig was a respected and beloved figure in football, and his contributions will not be forgotten,” the statement read.

Shakespeare’s career in football spanned several decades, with roles at various clubs, including a significant period as an assistant manager at Leicester City before taking the helm. His dedication and passion for the game left a lasting legacy.

The football community has been paying tribute to Shakespeare, remembering him not only for his managerial skills but also for his kindness and professionalism. Many former colleagues and players have expressed their sorrow and shared fond memories of working with him.

Craig Shakespeare’s death marks a sad moment for football fans and the broader sporting community, who will remember him for his achievements and his significant role in English football.

Further details regarding memorial services and tributes are expected to be announced by his family and former clubs in the coming days.
