Flying Eagles Set To Depart For WAFU B U-20 Championship In Togo

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are set to depart for Lome, Togo, on Tuesday, 15th October, as they gear up for the WAFU B U-20 Championship. The team, led by coach Aliyu Zubairu, has been in camp at Ikenne, Ogun State, putting the final touches on their preparations for the tournament.

As the defending champions, the Flying Eagles will arrive in Togo two days before the competition begins on Thursday, 17th October. The hosts, Togo, will kick off the tournament with a match against Benin Republic in the opening fixture.

Nigeria’s U-20 team will begin their campaign the following day, Friday, 18th October, when they face Burkina Faso at the Stade Municipal. Their second and final group game will be against Côte d’Ivoire on Thursday, 24th October, in what promises to be a challenging encounter.

The Flying Eagles are placed in Group B alongside Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire, and they will be aiming to defend their title and secure qualification for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

As the team prepares for their journey, expectations are high for the Flying Eagles to maintain their strong form and continue their dominance in the region.
