Federal Fire Service Heroics Save ₦200M In Abuja Fire.

On Tuesday, 12 August 2025, the Federal Fire Service, based at its National Headquarters, showcased remarkable bravery and efficiency in tackling a fire at Garki 2 Divisional Police Station in Abuja. Led by Senior Fireman Agbo, the team successfully protected property valued at over ₦200 million from a blaze sparked by an electrical surge.

The fire, which threatened significant damage, was swiftly brought under control using CO₂ extinguishers. The crew’s rapid response was followed by meticulous salvage operations to ensure no re-ignition occurred. Their professionalism earned high praise from the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Mohammed Amadu, who commended their skill and dedication.

In the wake of the incident, the Federal Fire Service shared vital safety advice to help prevent similar emergencies in the future. For emergencies, the public is urged to contact 112 or 0803 200 3557.

ACG A.U. Umar, Head of Corporate Services at the Federal Fire Service Headquarters, highlighted the team’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, reinforcing the service’s critical role in protecting communities.
