The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) hosted a successful ‘EXIM 101’ webinar in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Commercial and Business Affairs, showcasing the critical interagency cooperation essential for boosting American exports.

The event featured remarks from EXIM President and Chair Reta Jo Lewis and Special Representative Sarah Morgenthau.

The webinar, organized by EXIM’s Office of Global Business Development, provided a comprehensive overview of financing resources and tools available to American businesses seeking to export internationally. It also celebrated EXIM’s ninety-year legacy of supporting domestic exports and highlighted key initiatives such as the China and Transformation Exports Program (CTEP) and outreach efforts across sub-Saharan Africa.

Chair Lewis emphasized the importance of government collaboration, stating, “Working with our government partners is a key component to the fulfillment of our mission and throughout my time at EXIM I have seen how critical our continued coordination with embassy partners across the globe is to maintaining the success of our agency.”

The event also featured closing remarks from James Golsen, Deputy Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service, and was attended by State Department desk and foreign service officers. This webinar stresses EXIM’s commitment to the Biden-Harris Administration’s whole-of-government strategy to strengthen domestic supply chains and enhance export competitiveness.

Attendees gained insights from representatives across various EXIM offices, including the Office of Small Business, Office of Policy Analysis and International Relations, Office of General Counsel, and Office of Board Authorized Finance.
