Charly Boy, a Nigerian musician and activist, has sparked conversation with his candid thoughts on the ongoing U.S. elections.

In a recent Instagram video posted on November 5, 2024, he framed the elections as a global “judgement day,” emphasizing the monumental choice facing America and its impact on the world.

Charly Boy expressed frustration over backlash from fans regarding his skepticism about Donald Trump’s influence. He clarified that his connection to the U.S. is through his American citizen wife and children, who would be directly affected by the election outcome. “People accuse me of being blatantly ignorant of American politics. Oh yeah? I just dey laugh,” he said, emphasizing his genuine concern.

The singer stressed that global leadership has hit an all-time low, and the world looks to America for democratic sustainability. “America has become a country where dreams come true and where people from all walks of life have planted the flags of hope for a better life,” he concluded.
