The Independent National Electoral Commission has uploaded over 95% of results from the Anambra governorship election on its Result Viewing Portal.

According to the commission’s portal, results from 5,472 polling units have been uploaded out of a total of 5,720 units across the 21 local government areas of Anambra State.

The election has been described as largely peaceful, despite some reports of vote buying and minor malfunctions with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System. INEC has assured that the results will remain secure and verifiable throughout the process, emphasizing its commitment to delivering a credible and transparent election.

The commission’s efforts to ensure a smooth electoral process have been noted, with voters casting their ballots to decide the next governor of Anambra State. The outcome of the election is still uncertain, with several candidates contesting the governorship seat.

The governorship seat is being contested by prominent candidates, including incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo. Voters have been turning out in large numbers to exercise their right to vote.

The election is being closely monitored by local and international observers, who have commended the efforts of INEC and security agencies to ensure a peaceful election.
