End of road for the Flying Eagles at the 13th African Games as they suffered a 3-2 defeat against Senegal U-20 in a thrilling Clasico at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Flying Eagles’ journey at the 13th African Games came to a halt as they faced a heartbreaking 3-2 defeat against Senegal U-20 in a captivating Clasico showdown at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Despite showcasing determination and skill throughout the tournament, Nigeria’s U-20 team finished third in Group B, failing to secure a spot in the next round.

The match against Senegal was filled with excitement and intensity as both teams fought fiercely for victory. Flying Eagles scored first in the second minute of the game, however, it was Senegal who took the lead before half time coming back from a goal down and ultimately putting pressure on the Flying Eagles.

The Flying Eagles equalized in the 50th minute of the second half, but couldn’t hold on to their resolve and Senegal scored their third of the night.

Despite a valiant effort to equalize for the second time in the game and turn the tide in their favor, Nigeria fell short in the crucial moments, ultimately conceding defeat.

The Flying Eagles’ exit from the tournament marks the end of their quest for glory at the 13th African Games.

While the outcome may be disappointing, the team’s performance and resilience have showcased their potential and determination on the continental stage.
