Tragic Collision Claims Life Of Nigeria Info Radio Presenter, Deborah Ohamara

In a devastating incident on the bustling Airport Road in Lugbe, Abuja, the life of radio presenter Deborah Ohamara was tragically cut short when a heavy-duty truck laden with sand collided with her moving vehicle.

The news of Ohamara’s untimely demise surfaced on social media, with Facebook user Nten Ekpang providing details of the accident. According to Ekpang, Ohamara’s vehicle was struck from behind by another car, leading to a collision with a moving trailer. The impact resulted in fatal injuries, ultimately claiming her life.

A video shared by Ekpang captured the aftermath of the accident, providing a glimpse into the tragic incident along Airport Road in Abuja.

Nigeria Info 95.1 FM, the radio station where Ohamara served as a broadcaster, officially announced her passing, expressing deep sorrow at the loss of a brilliant and beloved member of their team. The station invited condolences from the public and opened a condolence register in her honor.





While details of the accident remain limited, it is known that Ohamara, a native of Cross River State, was driving from the airport axis when the collision occurred. The vehicle that hit her car from behind led to the fatal collision with the sand-laden truck.

Known as the “golden voice of Naija Info” for her captivating on-air presence, Ohamara had an illustrious career. She commenced her journey as a newscaster with the Cross River Broadcasting Corporation, CRBC TV, and later served as a presenter on 105.5 Paradise FM Calabar.

The sudden and tragic loss of Deborah Ohamara has left the broadcasting community and her listeners in shock, mourning the departure of a talented and cherished individual.
