President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to revolutionize agriculture in Nigeria, aiming to achieve food sufficiency and transform the country into a net exporter of agricultural products.

During a meeting with a delegation from the Global Tijaniyya Movement, led by Khalifa Muhammad Mahe Niass, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Sunday, President Tinubu emphasized the crucial role of agriculture in the nation’s development agenda. He outlined various initiatives aimed at bolstering agricultural productivity, including the expansion of farmlands, provision of low-interest loans to farmers, and substantial investments in irrigation infrastructure.

“We are dedicated to equipping hospitals with modern equipment, providing healthcare professionals with training, and ensuring social welfare for every citizen, including comprehensive health insurance coverage,” President Tinubu affirmed.

President Tinubu expressed his commitment to supporting religious activities and underscored the importance of collaboration between political and spiritual leaders in advancing the nation’s interests and promoting unity among the people.

Addressing the delegation, President Tinubu thanked the Global Tijaniyya Movement for their support and prayers, emphasizing the significance of collective efforts in building a better Nigeria.

In response, Sheikh Mahe Niass, the Khalifa of Tijaniyya, commended President Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s peace, progress, and stability. He expressed confidence in the President’s leadership and conveyed the fervent support and prayers of members of the Global Tijaniyya Movement to the Nigerian leader.

During the visit, the delegation offered prayers for the nation’s progress, unity, and prosperity, beseeching Almighty Allah to grant President Tinubu wisdom, strength, and success in his endeavors.
