President Tinubu Appoints House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas To Lead APC Reconciliation In Bauchi.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, as chairman of a reconciliation committee tasked with resolving internal disputes within the Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The announcement, made on Sunday, August 10, 2025, reflects the President’s commitment to fostering unity and strengthening the party’s cohesion ahead of future elections.

The committee, established following directives from the APC’s national leadership, aims to address longstanding grievances among party stakeholders in Bauchi, promoting harmony and ensuring a unified front. A statement from the Speaker’s office highlighted that Abbas’s role will involve engaging with party members, addressing concerns, and facilitating dialogue to resolve conflicts. His appointment is seen as a strategic move, leveraging his experience as a seasoned lawmaker and mediator to bolster the APC’s position in the state.

APC stakeholders in Bauchi have welcomed the decision, praising President Tinubu’s choice of Abbas, whose leadership in the House of Representatives has been marked by efforts to promote legislative harmony and advance the Renewed Hope Agenda. The committee’s work is expected to pave the way for stronger grassroots support and improved coordination within the party’s state chapter.

This initiative follows a series of appointments by President Tinubu to strengthen governance and party structures across Nigeria. The reconciliation effort in Bauchi is anticipated to enhance the APC’s electoral prospects while fostering inclusivity among its members. Party leaders have expressed optimism that Abbas’s leadership will yield positive outcomes, reinforcing the APC’s commitment to unity and progress in Bauchi State.
