Nigeria Congratulates New African Development Bank President Dr Tah.

 

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, has congratulated Dr. Sidi Ould Tah on his election as President of the African Development Bank (AfDB). The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Bank’s Annual Meetings in Abidjan, where Edun extended warm congratulations on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

 





Continuity and Results

Edun welcomed Dr. Tah’s focus on continuity and results, reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to deepening its partnership with the AfDB under his leadership. Nigeria played a pivotal role in rallying African shareholders to act in unison during the electoral process, showcasing the country’s dedication to continental development.

 

Strengthening Partnerships

The Federal Government expressed its readiness to work hand-in-hand with Dr. Tah, not only for Nigeria’s national development but also to advance inclusive growth and shared prosperity across Africa. With Dr. Tah at the helm, Nigeria looks forward to a strengthened partnership that will drive growth, prosperity, and continental development.
