The katsina state’s Commissioner for Security, in Nasiru Danmusa, has announced that the government has earmarked over ₦30 billion to address insecurity across the region.

In a statement released on Saturday, Danmusa detailed that the substantial funds will be utilized to enhance security measures. The allocation will support the equipping of security forces, boost intelligence operations, and fund community-based initiatives designed to prevent crime. The commissioner highlighted that these proactive measures are already showing positive results, with a noticeable decrease in banditry and other criminal activities.

Danmusa expressed confidence in the effectiveness of the state’s security strategy, stating, “The government remains resolute in its commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of our citizens. We will spare no effort in our fight against insecurity in Katsina State until we achieve complete victory.”

The commissioner also emphasized the collective responsibility required to overcome the security challenges, urging all citizens to actively participate in the efforts to restore peace. “The state government’s renewed commitment is unwavering. We call on everyone to join hands in eradicating insecurity in Katsina,” he added.
