Arsenal’s Kai Harvertz following his man of the match performance against Brighton made the statement after scoring his 9th premier league goal of the season.

Kai Harvertz scored and set up another as Arsenal brush aside Brighton at the AMEX Stadium.

Bukayo Saka had earlier put the Gunners in front, with a well taken penalty after Gabriel Jesus was brought down in the box.

Kai Harvertz scored the second and later set up Leo Trossard for Arsenal’s third.

After the game Harvertz was given the man of the match award and the German spoke briefly with the media.

In his words: Kai Havertz: said “Proving the haters wrong is part of the game. There’s always people that don’t like you or speak bad about you”.

“I accepted it as you cannot make everyone happy. I try to make myself happy and the people that are important to me”.
