Finidi George Officially Resigns as Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Releases Statement of Gratitude for the Opportunity to Serve.

Finidi George has announced his resignation as the head coach of Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles. His decision, revealed in an official statement to confirm the initial report by Govima Sports and confirmed by many media outlets across the country, comes amid recent changes to the team’s technical staff.

In his statement, George expressed his gratitude to the Nigerian people and affirmed his ongoing support for the team. “I thank all the Nigerian people and shall always support the Super Eagles,” he said.

George elaborated on his decision, explaining, “Given the recent changes to the technical staff, I believe it is appropriate for me to step aside at this time. I am writing to inform you of my decision to resign as the head coach of the Super Eagles. This decision has been made in light of the recent changes to the team’s technical staff.”

He continued by expressing his appreciation for the support he received during his tenure. “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire Nigeria Football Federation leadership, the sports ministry, and the Nigerian people for the opportunity to serve as the Super Eagles’ head coach.”

George concluded his statement by reaffirming his support for the team and wishing them well in the future. “Please rest assured of my steadfast support for the team, and I wish us all the best in our future endeavours,” he concluded.

Finidi George’s resignation marks the end of a significant chapter in Nigerian football, and his contributions to the Super Eagles will be remembered fondly by fans and players alike.
