In response to widespread concerns over the alleged misappropriation of public funds by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mohammed Idris, the Honorable Minister of Information and National Orientation, issued a statement today aiming to address and clarify the circulating narratives.

Acknowledging the seriousness of the issues raised by the public, the Ministry of Information and National Orientation assured Nigerians that the government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, remains transparent, accountable, and committed to effective utilization of public funds for the welfare of the people.

President Tinubu has directed a thorough and comprehensive investigation into the reported details to determine their accuracy and validity.
The government aims to uncover the truth surrounding the alleged payment of funds into a private account by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

The commitment to public accountability and due process is highlighted in the statement, emphasizing that appropriate action will be taken to address any breaches or infractions identified during the investigation.

Minister Mohammed Idris emphasized the role of the Ministry of Information and National Orientation as the primary source for verified information about the actions of the Federal Government.
The public is advised to rely on accurate details provided by the Ministry, ensuring that only verified information is disseminated.

As the investigation unfolds, the Ministry is committed to providing timely updates to keep Nigerians informed about the progress. Nigerians are urged to exercise patience, as the government focuses on a fair and unbiased process, with findings communicated duly and transparently to the public.
