Frank Onyeka Marks Augsburg Debut With An Assist.

Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka made an immediate impact on his Bundesliga debut, providing an assist as Augsburg secured a 3-1 victory over St. Pauli.

Onyeka, 26, joined the German club on a season-long loan from Premier League side Brentford on transfer deadline day. Despite having only trained with his new teammates for the first time on Friday, Onyeka was surprisingly named in the starting line-up by Augsburg manager Jess Thorup.

The Nigerian wasted no time in settling into his new surroundings, playing a key role in Augsburg’s triumph and demonstrating why the club moved quickly to secure his services.

His impressive debut is likely to boost Augsburg’s hopes for the season, as they look to build on this strong result.
