The immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has warned Governor Siminalayi Fubara against always attending political meetings in Abuja. Speaking when he flagged off the Port Harcourt Ring Road project, Wike noted that nothing good comes out of such meetings. “Stay here and work, you’ll feel happy. The Federal Government has confirmed the first case of Anthrax in Nigeria after disclosing on Monday that the disease was detected in a farm in Niger State. Newcastle United have made a €100 million ($107m) offer to sign Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to Corriere dello Sport. Nigeria Premier League champions, Enyimba have announced the sacking of their head coach, George Finidi. Finidi guided the Aba giants to a historic ninth NPL title less than a month ago. A Councilor, Nelson Sylvester, popularly known as Ofunwa, representing Eha-Ulo ward, in Nsukka Local Government Area Legislative Council, Enugu State, has been shot dead. The lawmaker was murdered by gunmen on Sunday night at his residence in Eha-Alumonah. Manchester United are on the brink of completing the signing of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana for almost £50m.
