The Minister of State, Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, says the construction of the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline Project which aims to link European market is expected to begin in 2024. President Bola Tinubu has urged the Senate to consider and approve his request to obtain a loan of $8,699,168,559 and €100 million as part of the federal government’s 2022 – 2024 external borrowing plan. The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, is set to spend more time behind bars as he failed to produce the ₦300 million bail amount specified by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), High Court. The court had earlier granted Emefiele bail on charges related to corrupt practices.
