The engagement focused on fostering collaboration and enhancing professional growth within the banking and finance sector.

During the visit, representatives from both institutions held productive discussions on potential areas of partnership, particularly in promoting professional excellence and supporting the career development of ICAN members within the bank.

The Union Bank delegation was led by Chief Financial Officer Oluwagbenga Adeoye, alongside other key officials, including Chief Compliance Officer Dr Abigail Duopama-Obomanu, Head of Corporate Banking Ali Kadiri FCA, and Head of Business Assurance Victor Ikeneku.

Leading the ICAN team was the organisation’s President, Chief Davidson Alaribe, accompanied by Dr Olumide Adedeji FCA, President of the Lagos District, and other distinguished members. Alaribe expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and underscored the importance of such engagements in upholding ethical standards and driving excellence in the accounting profession.

In response, Adeoye reaffirmed Union Bank’s dedication to supporting initiatives that contribute to the professional growth of accountants and ICAN members. He emphasised the bank’s commitment to fostering continuous learning and development within the financial industry.
