The All Progressive Congress (APC) has announced the fees for its local government election forms, with chairmanship forms pegged at N25 million and councillor forms at N210,000.

This was revealed by the party’s state chairman, Stanley Emegha, in a statement from the state capital, Abakaliki.

According to Emegha, the Expression of Interest form for the chairmanship position will cost N5 million, while the Nomination Form will cost N20 million.

He emphasised that the party has prepared thoroughly to ensure a strong showing in the upcoming election, highlighting APC’s positive performance and its appeal to the electorate.

The APC secretariat has seen a significant influx of aspirants eager to purchase the forms ahead of the election scheduled for July 20.

In related news, APC leaders and stakeholders in Edda Local Government Area have unanimously adopted Chima Ekumankama as their sole candidate for the forthcoming local government elections. This decision was made during a stakeholders’ meeting at Ebunwana Civic Centre, chaired by Senator Soni Ogbuoji.

The stakeholders praised Ekumankama’s performance during his first term, citing his pragmatic, visionary, and purposeful leadership. They noted that his re-election would enable him to complete ongoing projects and build on his achievements, which have contributed to peace and rapid transformation in Edda.

The motion for Ekumankama’s second term bid was moved by Chief Whip Nkemka Onuma, representing Edda West in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, and seconded by Stephen Igwe, representing Edda East State Constituency. The motion received unanimous support from all stakeholders present.

With these developments, the APC in Ebonyi State is gearing up for a competitive and well-organized local government election, reinforcing its commitment to effective governance and community development.
