According to  the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, via their official platform, the Lagos State Government has confirmed the forthcoming reopening of the Third Mainland Bridge.

The bridge, which has undergone extensive repairs, is scheduled to resume full operation on April 4, 2024.

The statement expressed gratitude to Lagos residents for their patience and cooperation throughout the repair period. It assured commuters of smoother travels ahead with the bridge fully operational once again.

The decision to partially close the Third Mainland Bridge for repairs was initially disclosed by the Lagos State Government on January 5, 2024.

The repairs commenced on January 9, 2024, marking a significant step towards ensuring the safety and efficiency of one of Lagos’s vital transportation arteries.
