The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. has issued a press release, firmly dispelling speculations of an imminent increase in the price of Petrol.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Chief Corporate Communications Officer Olufemi O. Soneye assured the public that there are no plans for a hike in Petrol prices.

The NNPC urges Nigerians to disregard unfounded rumors and assures them that the current cost of petrol will remain unchanged.

“Contrary to speculations circulating, we want to categorically state that there is no impending increase in the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) commonly known as Petrol, Nigerians should disregard such unfounded rumors,” stated Mr. Soneye.

He further emphasized that motorists across the nation should refrain from panic buying, as there is currently an ample supply of PMS available throughout the country. The NNPC assures citizens that there is no cause for concern regarding fuel scarcity.

The NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer urged the public to remain calm and not be swayed by misinformation, emphasizing that the corporation is committed to maintaining stability in the fuel market.

The NNPC remains dedicated to providing a steady and sufficient supply of petroleum products to meet the needs of the Nigerian people.

As of now, the NNPC has not provided any specific details about the factors influencing the stability of PMS prices or the measures being taken to ensure a consistent supply.

However, the assurance from the Chief Corporate Communications Officer aims to quell any concerns and prevent unnecessary disruptions in the market.
