The Supreme Court of Nigeria on Thursday morning has dismissed Atiku Abubakar’s fresh evidence of Bola Tinubu’s alleged Chicago State University forgery.

The apex court said that it lacks the jurisdiction to rule on an application not already determined by the election petition tribunal.

“The application for fresh evidence cannot be granted. We do not have jurisdiction and there is no pleading or issue for determination in this appeal on allegation or forgery”. – Supreme Court

The Supreme Court is delivering judgement on the appeals filed by the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, and that of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, against the electoral victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 25 election.
