Asisat Oshoala bagged a brace as the Super Falcons thrashed Australian club, Queensland Lions FC 8-1 in a friendly game on Saturday morning.

It was the Super Falcon’s first friendly since they set up camp in Brisbane, Australia ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Super Falcons dominated the game from start to finish pinning their opponent to the back.

Ifeoma Onumonu, Toni Payne, Halimat Ayinde, Rasheedat Ajibade, Uchenna Kanu and Gift Monday scored the other goals for Randy Waldrum’s side.

The players and their officials will move to their designated camp base, the Sofitel Hotel, Brisbane on Sunday.

The focus of the team will now be on their opening fixture at the World Cup against Olympic champions, Canada next week Thursday.

The West Africans will also line up against Australia and the Republic of Ireland in Group B.

Australia and New Zealand will co-host the quadrennial competition from July 20 to August 20.
