5 Things You Should Avoid In A Single-Room House

If you live in a tight-knit space there are some limitations you may need to observe for your safety and those around you.

Look, you can’t postpone your lifestyle to a time when you will afford to live it. Nothing is guaranteed that way.

But most importantly, everyone has preferences and values that determine how they live. And yet, some things you can afford to swap, postpone or work on to live comfortably in the moment.

Here are some tips on living in a single-room house

Cooking inside

If you use a charcoal stove or gas cooker, you should consider cooking outside. The best indoor cooking appliances for small spaces are electric ones. According to Times, gas cookers have high emissions of pollution that often go unnoticed. Even when not in use, these cookers still emit toxic gases. Without enough aeration, the situation can be much worse than in bigger living spaces.

Stocking too much food

Don’t stock too much food that cannot be refrigerated. This is the fastest way of attracting a host of organisms that can ruin your living space.

Going overboard with the furniture

When getting furniture think about necessity. A bed, chair, and a table are the bare minimum and even those can be too much sometimes. Avoid furniture that is going to mess with aeration or make the place stuffed. The last thing you want are rodents and insects living with you.

Keeping dirty utensils and laundry

Maintain a clean, dry, and cool place free from dirty dishes and clothes. Wash dishes frequently or keep all kitchen war outside. Get laundry done on a schedule in a reasonable period of time. Use an air freshener to keep the place smelling nice, and open windows more often for proper aeration.
