Nigerian actress Juliana Olayode has opened up about her personal decision to stay off sex, explaining that it is a conscious lifestyle choice she continues to uphold despite various temptations.

She shared that the journey has not been easy, but it remains one she is committed to for her personal growth and values.

Juliana, who rose to fame from her role as Toyosi in the popular TV series Jenifa’s Diary, spoke about her experience during a recent discussion, noting that the decision requires constant discipline. She acknowledged that many assume such a lifestyle is simple, but she said the reality is different when faced with real life situations.

She explained that being intentional about one’s values plays a major role in maintaining sexual self control. According to her, “People think it is easy until they find themselves in tempting situations but it is a personal decision I choose to hold on to.” She emphasised that her choice is not to appear perfect, but to stay aligned with her beliefs.

Juliana also revealed that she has faced criticism and pressure from the public, but remains firm in her conviction. She mentioned that the entertainment industry often places individuals in environments where boundaries can be tested, making it necessary to stay disciplined and self aware.

The actress encouraged others who share similar values not to feel ashamed or intimidated by public opinion. She added that everyone has the right to make personal decisions about their lifestyle and should remain confident in their choices. She said, “Everyone has a journey and mine is staying focused on what I believe is right for me.”

Juliana’s message continues to inspire many young people who look up to her for guidance and positive influence. Her story highlights the importance of staying grounded despite pressure and maintaining values that contribute to personal development and dignity.
